Boyd Parker 1941-2024

Boyd R. Parker, 83, of Circleville, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2024, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka.

He was born on January 16, 1941 at Lincolnville, the son of Russell and Bertha Whinery Parker. He graduated from Wilsey Rural High School in 1959 and served in the U.S. Air Force from November 1960 to November 1964.

Boyd had worked for the Rock Island Railroad and later the Union Pacific Railroad as a boom truck driver. He retired in 2000.

He was a member of the Maintenance Way Union.

Boyd married Alice M. Rogers on Oct. 15, 1967 in Council Grove. She survives, of the home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Celesta Pitts and Clesta Erett.

Other survivors include a son, Russell Charles Parker, Circleville; a daughter, Teresa Hudson (Bradley), Tecumseh; and four grandchildren, Ezekiel, Gabriel and Jacob Hudson and RheaAnn Parker.

No services are planned at this time. Inurnment will be held later in the Wilsey Cemetery at Wilsey.
