Billy Moberly Jr. 1948-2025

Billy E. Moberly Jr., 77, Overland Park, died Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the Kansas City Hospice House.

He was born Feb. 22, 1948, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Billy E. Moberly Sr. and Kathyrne Lee Taylor Moberly. He graduated from Argentine High School in Kansas City in 1967.

Mr. Moberly served in the U.S. Navy from 1967 to 1971. He later was a truck driver for various trucking companies.

He married Linda Miller. They divorced. He married Marlene Chapell. They divorced. He later married Charlene A. Lubratovic. She survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Brian Eugene Moberly and wife Christena, Tonganoxie, and Kevin Eral Moberly and wife Meghan, Saint Cloud, Fla.; a brother, Robert L. Moberly, Kansas City; three sisters, Melisse Richtarik, Hiawatha, Kathyrne L. Tiras and husband Michael, Redland, Calif., and Melinda Moberly-Hanks and husband Jim, Bonner Springs; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Earl Moberly.

Memorial graveside services, inurnment and military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16 in Ontario Cemetery north of Circleville.
