Bernice Simpson, 87, of Hoyt, passed away Monday, Oct. 12, 2015, at her home.
She was born Dec. 16, 1927 in Netawaka, the daughter of Herman and Bertha Gerhardt.
Bernice married Lyle Simpson on Feb. 3, 1951, at Topeka, Kansas. He preceded her in death on Aug. 9, 2015.
Bernice is survived by her daughters, Pat Flowers (Eddie) and Sue Welling (Tim); sons, Bob Simpson (Cindy) and Mike Simpson; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle; her parents; and a son-in-law, Mike Reich.
