Bernadine Bohannon 1923-2015

Bernadine B. Bohannon, 91, Holton, died Friday, May 22, 2015, at Holton Community Hospital.
She was born July 13, 1923, in Goff, the daughter of William C. and Ola A. Burget Driscoll. She graduated from Wetmore High School in 1941. She had lived many years in Holton and had previously lived in the Wetmore, Goff and Pleasant Grove communities.
Mrs. Bohannon was a homemaker and had also owned and operated Bohannon Mobil Service Station and Car Wash with her husband for 35 years.
She was a member of Holton VFW Auxiliary and an active member of First Baptist Church in Holton since 1956.
She married William Harold Bohannon on Oct. 18, 1941, in Holton. He died July 10, 1995. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Ford; a twin brother, Burton B. Driscoll; a brother, William Junior Driscoll; a grandson, Dwight Christian Fisher; and a great-granddaughter, Carissa Denise Holliday.
Survivors include three sons, William Harold Bohannon Jr. and wife Sharon, Holton, Donald Eugene Bohannon Sr. and wife Carolyn, Lyndon, and Gregory D. Bohannon and wife Marty, Ottawa; a daughter, Linda M. Fisher and husband Paul, Hoyt; two sisters, Ruth Watkins, Larkinburg, and June Brown, Owasso, Okla.; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial followed in Holton Cemetery.
