Barbara Bradley 1933-2024

Barbara Sue Bradley, 90, Lee’s Summit, Mo., formerly of Goff, died Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at St. Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, Mo.

She was born Nov. 14, 1933, in Trenton, Mo., the daughter of Robert S. and Peggy M. Clark Johnson. She graduated from St. Agnes High School in Kansas City in 1951 and attended IBM Business School in 1952.

Mrs. Bradley worked for the Kansas City Post Office for a few years and sold Mary Kay for 15 years. She also was a homemaker.

She was a member of Goff United Methodist Church, serving as a Sunday school teacher. She was also past Worthy Matron of Order of Eastern Star.

She married Raymond R. Bradley on Oct. 8, 1953, in Natchez, Miss. He died March 8, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Peggy Johnson; a brother, Danny Johnson; and a granddaughter, Ashley Ashwill.

Survivors include three daughters, Becky Lackey and husband Glen, Olathe, Diana Ashwill and husband Scott, Topeka, and Traci Bradley and husband Michael, Lee’s Summit, Mo.; a son, Mike Bradley and wife Janet, Leawood; a brother, Larry Johnson and wife Gloria, Angier, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Brian Lackey, Scott Lackey, Kristina Bradley, Heather Stallbaumer, Jayme Weis, Cameron Heffner and Brett Ashwill; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 26 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Inurnment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Goff. Family will greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
