Audrey Oden 1931-2025

Audrey Marie Oden, 93, Kansas City, died Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Providence Place in Kansas City.

She was born Aug. 27, 1931, in Netawaka, the daughter of Henry and Grace Havekorst Dachenhausen. She graduated from Holton High School.

Mrs. Oden was a homemaker and housewife, living most of her life in Kansas City and Arkansas.

She was a former member of First Christian Church and volunteered at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rogers, Ark.

She married Gerald Dean Oden; he died Dec. 25, 2008. She was also preceded by her parents; two sisters, Irene Osborn and Pauline Smith; and a grandson, Caleb Huffstutter.

Survivors include three daughters, Cheryl Huffstutter anddhusband Ron, St. Joseph, Mo., Jan Kriss and husband Terry, Overland Park, and Kaelyn Higgins and husband Pat, Basehor; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 31 in Holton Cemetery.
