Arcle Fraley 1950-2025
Arcle Mythice Fraley Jr., 75, of Aurora, Colo., died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2025, at his home.
He was born June 23, 1950, in Wichita, the son of Arcle Mythice Fraley and Lillice Pennell Fraley.
Arcle proudly served in the United States Navy for 20 years, retiring in 1989. He then worked as a bus driver for 23 years for the Jackson Heights school district. After moving to Aurora, Colo., he enjoyed working at Meadow Hills Golf Course.
Arcle married Neva Fernkopf on Oct. 16, 1976, in Circleville. After the passing of Neva, Arcle married Carole Bogner on May 3, 2014, in Topeka.
Arcle is survived by his wife, Carole Fraley of Aurora, Colo.; his daughters, Jolene Bextel (C.J.) of Rose Hill and Brandy Fraley of Kansas City, Mo.; stepchildren, Kristin Donahue (Ben) of Grand Junction, Colo., Joe Bogner (Stacie) of Parker, Colo., and Mikaela Wilson (André) of Aurora, Colo.; siblings, Helen Jones (Wilbur) of Springfield, Mo., Jim Fraley (Pauline) of Estill Springs, Tenn., Carl Fraley (Patty) of Wichita, Agnes Resco of Wichita and Bonnie Brown (Jim) of Wichita; grandchildren, William Shaffer, Annabeth Bextel and Maddox Bextel; stepgrandchildren, Andrew Donahue, Kaity Donahue, Jayden Donahue, Charlie Bogner, AJ Wilson, Rhys Bogner and Noelle Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Neva Fraley; his parents, Arcle M. and Lillice Fraley; and brothers LeRoy Fraley and Floyd Fraley. Arcle was followed in death by the passing of his sister Bonnie Brown on Jan. 3, 2026, and his brother Jim Fraley on Jan. 8, 2026.
Graveside memorial services with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 5 at the Holton Cemetery. A visitation following the graveside service will be held with the location pending.
