Alisha Quigley 1993-2016

 

Alisha Marie Quigley, 23, Topeka, died Saturday, March 12, 2016, from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident in Topeka.

She was born March 1, 1993, the daughter of Howard Clay and Karen Smirl Quigley.

Miss Quigley had worked in the medical records department at Stormont-Vail Health and also was a tutor at Shaner Elementary School. She had planned to pursue a degree in early childhood educa­tion.

Survivors include a daughter, Ambree Jo Michelle; her parents, Clay and Janette Quigley, Topeka, and Karen and Wayne Leiker, Holton; her grandmothers, Kath­leen Smirl, Topeka, and Marjorie and Richard See, Wichita; five sib­lings, Jessica Hutton and husband Joe, Ray Quigley, Laura Quigley and Jacob Quigley, all of Topeka, and Richard Leiker, Holton; a niece and nephews, Kiera, Ayden and Bryson Hutton; aunts and uncles, Stacy and Spencer Stromgren, Os­age City, Dana and Richard Dennis, Derby, Stuart and Kelly Quigley, Wichita, and Carrie and Devon Logan, in Florida; and a stepuncle, Jake Dugger. She was preceded in death by her grandfa­thers, George “Papa” Smirl and Howard Ray Quigley.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Holton. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery west of Holton. Miss Quigley will lie in state at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton where a rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, fol­lowed by visitation until 8:30 p.m.
