Albert Nocktonick 1941-2023

Albert L. Nocktonick, 82, of Holton, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023, at his home in Holton.

He was born Jan. 18, 1941, in Holton, the son of Joseph and Louise Catherine (Tork) Nocktonick. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1959. Albert earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Washburn University.

Albert retired from the Prairie Band Casino, where he worked in the Environmental Services Department. He was member of the Citizens Potawatomi Nation of Oklahoma and he served in the United States Navy.

Albert is survived by his wife of 34 years, Beryl Ann (Martin) Nocktonick; a daughter, Sarah Nocktonick of California; two stepdaughters, Sally Lempp and Lesley LaFile, both of Kearney, Neb.; a stepson, Erik Dahl of New Jersey; three brothers, Joseph E. Nocktonick, Richard Nocktonick and Louie C. Nocktonick, all of Mayetta; four grandchildren, Bailey Stofer, Braden Dahl, Gavin Dahl and Richard Dahl; two nieces, Margaret and Megan, both of Mayetta; and a nephew, Joseph Nocktonick of Mayetta. 

Albert is preceded in death by two sisters and a granddaughter, Jessica Lempp.
