Karen Daubon 1960-2025

Karen I. “Katie” Daubon, 65, Mayetta, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025, at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center in Topeka.

She was born Oct. 23, 1960, in Los Angeles, Calif., the daughter of George and Loretta Compton Seivers.

Mrs. Daubon worked as a cashier at the north Topeka Walmart for many years.

She married David W. Daubon on Dec. 31, 2003 in Sumter, S.C. He survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Scott Taylor, Sumter, S.C., and David L. Daubon and wife Gaby, Shawnee; two daughters, Valerie Boykin, Charleston, S.C., and Angela Brunson and husband William, Sumter, S.C.; and three grandchildren, Donna Lynne Soward, Shawn Soward and Caleb Boykin. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Donna Seivers.

Funeral services will be held at a later date. Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton is assisting the family.
