Lowell Bosse 1944-2025

Lowell Dean Bosse, 81, Wheaton, died Friday, April 18, 2025, surrounded by family.

He was born April 3, 1944, at Onaga, the son of Ivan and Sophie Kolle Bosse. He graduated from Wheaton High School in 1962.

Mr. Bosse served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. He was a farmer and stockman.

He attended Wamego Family Worship Center and Lakeview Faith Chapel in Holton.

He married Sandra Hammerle on Dec. 31, 1965, in Kansas City. She survives.

Other survivors include three sons, Kenneth “Dean” Bosse, Wheaton, Mark Allen Bosse and wife Jill, Grainfield, and Chad Richard Bosse and wife Emily, Elk Pointe, S.D.; a daughter, Jami Lee Bosse, Emmett; a brother, Kenneth Bosse (Marcia), Independence; two sisters, DeAnn Clements and husband Harlow, Shawnee, and Donna May Spencer and husband Lynn, Bentonville, Ark.; a brother-in-law, Jerry Condray, Pratt; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by death by his parents and a sister, Doris Condray.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 26 at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga. Burial will follow in St. Luke South Cemetery. Lowell will lie in state after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, where visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
