Wade Hinman 1957-2025

Wade Louis Hinman, 67, of Mayetta, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025, at The Pines in Holton.

He was born July 13, 1957, in Holton, the son of Ray and Gwyn (Daugherty) Hinman.

Wade graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1975. He was a machinist at Burlington Northern Santa Fe, retiring after more than 30 years.

He was a member of Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation.

Wade married Judy Martin on Nov. 24, 1979, in Denison. They celebrated more than 45 years of marriage.

Survivors include his wife, Judy, of the home; his mother, Gwyn Hinman of Holton; two daughters, Jennifer Kern (John) of Denison and Angela Dugan (Kelly) of Topeka; a son, Andrew Hinman (Breann) of Holton; a sister, Rosa Thomas (Willy) of Whiting; a brother, Lee Hinman (Lori) of Valley Falls; and five grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 28 at the Denison Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.
