John Douglas 1960-2025

John Wayne Douglas, 64, Centralia, passed away Monday, Feb. 3, 2025, at his home.

He was born May 2, 1960, in Horton, the son of Morris D. and Neva N. (Seastrom) Douglas. He graduated from Jackson Heights High School in 1978. After high school, John attended vocational-technical school where he earned a welding certificate.

John spent most of his life working as a farmhand. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. He was a good mechanic and could fix anything.

He is preceded in death by his father, Morris Douglas; and two brothers, Rick and Dennis Douglas.

John is survived by his mother, Neva N. Douglas of Olathe; sister, Kathryn Douglas (fiancé John Habernal) of Mission; and two brothers, Ron Douglas (Kathy) of Tonganoxie and Rusty Douglas (Pam) of Mayetta.

Private family memorial services will be held at a later date.
