Jocylene Strube 1967-2024

Jocylene Margueritte Strube, 56, Holton, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024, at her home.

She was born Oct. 27, 1967, in Ames, Iowa, the daughter of Jacque and Donna K. Flockhart Motte. She graduated from Madison High School and attended trade school.

Mrs. Strube worked in chemical cleaning for smoke and fire restoration, ran a plastic injection molding machine in Kansas City, was a food service worker for Holton schools and was a house cleaner.

She married Scott Alain Strube on June 29, 2013, in Holton. He survives.

Other survivors include a sister, Dee Dee Thompson, Mound City; a brother, Kevin Kelley, Virgil; a sister, Robin Stitt, Eureka; and other extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Delia Evelyn Gustafson Flockhart; her mother, Donna Brewer; a brother, Andrew Brewer; and a sister, Shannon Reynolds.

A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
