Flodell Harding 1931-2023

Flodell Harding, 92, of Seneca, formerly of Holton, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023, at Life Care Center in Seneca.

She was born March 8, 1931, in Retrop, Okla., the daughter of Alvin Alonzo and Nannie Pauline (Bradley) Fox.

Flodell attended school in Lawton, Okla. She was a homemaker and also worked for Southwestern Bell, Walmart and Slimaker Dress Factory.

Flodell married George Douglas Harding on March 27, 1948, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He preceded her in death on Aug. 28, 2021.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Nannie Fox; a sister, Wyvonne Jarvis; and two brothers, James Sanford Fox and Lonnie Denton Fox.

Survivors include two sons, Gary R. Harding (Sharon) of Meriden and Alan “Keith” Harding (Terri) of Mayetta; a daughter, Sherri Steinlage (Daniel) of Corning; a sister, Diesta Owens of Fort Worth, Texas; two brothers, Ronald Fox (Barbara) and Dennis Fox (Marnell), both of Fort Worth, Texas; seven grandchildren, Casey, Kelly, Cody, Timothy, Shawna, Jessica and Brian; and five great-grandchildren, Olivia, Taryn, Connal, Dylan and Sarah.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 28 at the Holton Cemetery. Mercer Funeral Home in Holton is in charge of arrangements.
