Diana Bennett 1959-2023

Diana Marie Bennett, 64, Easton, formerly of Holton, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2023, at Anew of Easton.

She was born March 23, 1959, in Kansas, the daughter of Joseph O. and Annie Marie Reynolds Knight.

Mrs. Bennett earned her medication aide certificate and worked for many years in nursing homes including The Pines of Holton, Jackson County Nursing Home (now Medicalodges Jackson County) and the former Glen Moore Meadows. She also worked for Casey’s General Store in Holton.

She married James Russell Bennett on Nov. 1, 2003, in Holton. He died July 7, 2016. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jess Allen Knight, on Jan. 24, 2004; her parents, Joseph and Annie Knight; three sisters, Marilyn Brunner, Rhonda Norell and Debbie Ferrell; and two brothers, Jerry and John Knight.

Survivors include a daughter, April Knight, Easton; and two stepgrandchildren, Reagan Call and Tony Zapatta.

Private family memorial services will be held at a later date.
