Gary Ross 1949-2023

Gary L. Ross, 74, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2023.

He was born July 21, 1949, in Holton to Herbert Ross Jr. and Florence (Nocktonick) Ross. He was a member of the Kickapoo Tribe of Kansas.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Nancy Ross and Joyce Ross-Peay; granddaughter Leah Ross; and ex-wife and friend, Ellen Ross.

Survivors include his children, Jessica Ross, Johanna Ross, Gary Armstrong (Vicki) and Sonya Jackson, all of Topeka; grandchildren including his grandson Keanu; and many cousins and countless friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 26 at Davidson Funeral Home, 1035 N. Kansas Ave., Topeka. Funeral services will also be held at Davidson Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 27.

Drum services will follow beginning at sunset Thursday at Danceground Building (west on 158th Road off U.S. Highway 75 and last left before K Road). Burial will follow on Friday at the Danceground Cemetery in Mayetta.
