Michelle Wentz 1975-2023
Michelle D. Wentz, 48 of York, Pa., passed into glory at York Hospital on Thursday, June 8, 2023. She was the wife of Patrick C. Wentz, with whom she observed their 23rd wedding anniversary on Aug. 21, 2022.
Born Jan. 9, 1975 in Topeka, she was the daughter of Karen S. (Burns) McCrory and the late Gary M. McCrory.
Michelle was a dedicated mother and wife. She attended Living Word Community Church in Red Lion, Pa. Michelle was very active in her love of God and His saving grace through Jesus Christ. She was involved in Protestant Women of the Chapel (PWOC) at every Army base on which Patrick served, and in Mom 2 Mom ministries in Kansas and Pennsylvania.
Michelle lived a life of service to others, even when unwell herself. She was a faithful witness for Christ to more than one roommate at York Hospital and has been a prayer warrior for many.
In addition to her husband and her mother, Michelle is also survived by a son, Corey P. Wentz of York, Pa.; a sister, Melissa K. McCrory of Hilo, Hawaii; a brother, Phillip C. McCrory and his wife, Melinda, of Denison; and her mother-in-law, Patricia A. Wentz of Ephrata, Pa.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 15 at Etzweiler-Koller Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 2000 W. Market St. York, Pa. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
