Brenda Clifton 1949-2023

Brenda S. (Meredith) Clifton, 74, of Wathena, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023, at the Wathena Healthcare and Rehab Center.

Brenda was born on March 23, 1949, in Topeka, to Gerald Laverne and Dorothy (Nesbitt) Meredith. She graduated Holton High School in 1968.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Wathena.

Brenda married Jr. Clifton on Dec. 20, 1978, in Topeka. He preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy Hendrix and Gerald Meredith.

Survivors include two brothers, Jerry Meredith (Katrina) and Bart Meredith, all of Topeka.

There is no scheduled visitation. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 15 at the United Methodist Church in Wathena. Inurnment will take place in Bellemont Cemetery, Wathena.
