Juanita McKee 1927-2022
Juanita Lee McKee, 94, died Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Maple Heights Nursing Home in Hiawatha.
She was born Oct. 24, 1927, in Scranton, the daughter of Roscoe and Adeline Raymer Floro. She attended school in Whiting.
Mrs. McKee was a homemaker and had several part-time jobs outside the home. She and her husband wintered in Texas and Arizona after retirement.
She married Calvin McKee on Sept. 13, 1943, in Topeka. He survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Sharon Hundley and husband Robert, Netawaka, and Ruth Randall and husband Ron, Hiawatha; a brother, Richard Douglass, Topeka; six grandchildren, Shelly Riedley and husband David, Atchison, Lizabeth White and husband Tom, Colorado Springs, Colo., R. Ashton Hundley, Kansas City, Mo., Jason Loftin and wife Robyn, Parker, Colo., Ryan Loftin and wife Amanda, Shawnee, and Matthew Hundley and wife Heather, Holton; 14 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adeline and Roscoe Floro; a brother, Roscoe Floro II; and a sister, Ethel Schrader.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 23 at the Bethany United Church of Christ in Hiawatha, with Shane Spangler officiating. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. before the service. Friends may sign a register book anytime after Monday, July 18 at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha.
