Dave Moseley 1935-2022
David Mitchell Moseley, 86, of Perry, formerly of Denison, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at Midland Hospice House in Topeka.
He was born Aug. 16, 1935, west of Havensville, the son of Paul Mitchell and Elva Lou (Mitchell) Moseley.
Dave graduated from Mayetta High School in 1953. He proudly served in the Kansas National Guard for 10 years.
He worked for Goodyear Tire Company for 35 years, retiring in 1995.
He was a member of Denison Bible Church, a volunteer for Jackson County Food Pantry, coached Topeka Youth Baseball for 12 years and coached Little League Baseball in Denison for nine years.
Dave married Rosalia “Rose” Lechman on Nov. 17, 1955; she preceded him in death on Aug. 18, 2020, after 64 years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Steven Moseley.
Survivors include two sons, David M. Moseley Jr. of Hoyt and Matthew M. Moseley of Perry; brother, Michael Moseley (Pam) of Hoyt; sister, Saundra Renner (Bill) of Mayetta; six grandchildren, Jordan Moseley, Lauren Johnston, Alicia Johnston, Dawson Moseley, Kaylee Moseley and Mollie Moseley; and a great-grandson, Ronin.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 4 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Inurnment of Dave and Rose will follow in Havensville Cemetery.
