Melvin Schone 1941-2022

Melvin Edward Schone, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022, in Richardson, Texas.

He was born to George Edward Schone and Ruth H. Schone (Stewart) on Wednesday, July 2, 1941, in Hoyt.

Melvin is survived by his wife, Cindy Schone of Garland, Texas; their son, Mike Schone (wife Juliana) of Porter, Texas; two grandchildren, Giovanni and Isabella Schone of Porter, Texas; three nieces, Amy Slaybaugh, Lori and Lisa Sylvester; great-niece Jadzia Vigors and great-nephew Sasha Vigors.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Marge Schone, Mary Slaybaugh and Wanda Sylvester.

Melvin was a big fan of the Kansas University Jayhawks Men’s Basketball Team and car racing.

Graveside services were held Monday morning at Restland-Court of Freedom in Dallas, Texas.
