Steve Rison 1954-2022

Steve Rison, 67, of Topeka, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022.

Steve was born Sept. 25, 1954, in Hiawatha, to Gerald R. and Wilma D. (Butrick) Rison. 

He grew up in Sabetha with his siblings Jerry J. (Pam) Rison, Roger L. (Liz) Rison, and Kathy A. (Mark) Munsterman. 

He graduated from Sabetha High School in 1972, then attended St. Louis University.

Steve is survived by his siblings; his wife, Sandy (Bernhart) Rison; a son, Brandon (Martie) Rison; and a grandson, Gavin Breedlove.

A visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7 at Dove Cremations and Funerals-Southwest Chapel, 3700 S.W. Wanamaker Rd., Topeka, KS 66610. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. 

Interment will follow at 4 p.m. in his hometown of Sabetha, in the Sabetha Cemetery.
