Christopher Brown 1988-2021

Christopher Michael Brown, 33, Valley Falls, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2021.

He was born Oct. 4, 1988, to Michael Brown and Charlene Zeller.

Chris graduated from Mission Valley High School in 2007. Growing up, he enjoyed showing cattle in 4-H and playing sports and in high school, he loved rodeoing and bull riding.

After graduation, Chris served in the Kansas National Guard. He dedicated his life to helping and serving people through his employment at McManigal Electric in Denison and by being a firefighter for Mission Township, Auburn, Dover, Potawatomi Tribal and Tonganoxie fire departments.

Chris married Keresa Wilson on July 2, 2016, in Auburn; she survives.

Other survivors include his children, Cody Brown (Cody’s mother, Alexa Von Arb) and Dakota Brown; parents Michael Brown (Dawn) and Charlene Zeller (Michael Andersen); sister, Leslie Brown (Matt Miller); brother, Duane Brown (Skylar); niece, Rayli Brown; nephew, William Brown; grandparents, Raymond and Alice Zeller; grandfather, Michael Coffee; godfather, Marvin Schleif; parents-in-law, Larry and Doris Rupert; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Chris was preceded in death by his godmother, Theresa Schleif; grandparents, Donald Brown and Mary Sue Coffee; great-grandmother, Molly Brown; great-grandparents, Dominic and Geraldine (Tyler) Zeller and Alphonse and Anna Verschelden; uncle, David Brown; and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
