Harold Tessendorf 1926-2019

Harold Dean Tessendorf, 92, of Onaga, died Saturday, June 29, 2019, at the Onaga Health and Rehab Center.

Harold was born Nov. 8, 1926, in Wamego to Nellie Marie (Hiser) and Henry Robert Tessendorf.

Harold grew up on the Tessendorf farm south of Onaga and continued to farm and ranch full-time until retiring when he was 79. Harold served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Harold married Ramona Roberta Hartwich in Duluth. She survives at their home.

Harold was actively involved in the community and the Republican Party.

Harold is also survived by a daughter, Roberta, of Overland Park; and a brother, Donald D. Tessendorf, of Zeandale.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 21185 Duluth Rd., Duluth. Campanella-Evans Mortuary in Wamego is in charge of arrangements. www.campanellafuneral.com
