David Humes 1953-2019

David Humes, 66, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2019, with his family by his side.

David was born on Jan. 20, 1953, in Atchison to Donald and Dorothy Humes.

He leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Carol; brothers, Danny Humes and wife Patty and Steven Humes, all of De Kalb, Mo.; stepsiblings Tina Jones and Tim Rickman, both of St. Louis, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Pat Humes of Conway, Ark.; two daughters, Melinda Lafferty of Hoyt and Maria McClasky of Valdez, Alaska; two sons, Mark McClasky and Micah McClasky, both of Kansas City, Mo.; and granddaughters Marissa Lafferty of Topeka and Masey Lafferty of Highland, along with six other grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. David was preceded in death by his parents, sister Susan and brothers Chris Humes and Brian (Timmy) Humes.
