Brenda Graner 1941-2017
Brenda Irene Pearson Graner, 76, Holton, died Monday, July 24, 2017, at Vintage Park in Holton.
She was born April 24, 1941, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of George and Estella Myers Pearson. She grew up in Milford, Pa., and graduated from Delaware Valley Joint High School in 1959.
Mrs. Graner retired from the Stephen Gould Corporation in Whippany, N.J., in 2012 and moved to Kansas. She and her husband lived in Rockaway, N.J.
She married Gilbert “Gibby” Graner Sr. on March 27, 1964, in Mine Hill, N.J. He died Feb. 17, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Gertrude “Snookie” Theresa Seese, in 1988.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Lee Pahmahmie and husband Alan “Boney,” Mayetta; a son, Gilbert “Gibby” Graner Jr. and wife Kim, Oak Ridge, N.J.; a sister, Annette Berg, Bronx, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Brandon Fink and wife Shalenia, Port Jervis, N.Y., Vanessa Joslin and husband Ben, Holton, Brittney Stithem and husband Doug, Hoyt, and Sierra Pahmahmie and Sage Pahmahmie, both of Mayetta; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members.
A visitation was held Tuesday at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Visitations are also scheduled from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Whitham-Kanapaux Funeral Home, 20 Keller Ave., Rockaway, N.J. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Whitham-Kanapaux Funeral Home with interment to follow in First Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Rockaway, N.J.
