Rhon Davis 1959-2017
Rhon Lauren Davis, 58, Topeka, died Friday, June 2, at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 17, 1959, at Topeka, the son of William and Virginia Holt Davis. He grew up in Hoyt and Chanute and graduated from Chanute High School. He later graduated from Emporia State University with a degree in psychology.
Mr. Davis had worked in education for 33 years, with 20 of those years spent with the Holton Special Education Cooperative. He was currently working as a psychologist with the co-op at Royal Valley and also at Kwik Shop. He and his wife lived in Atchison and in Yuma, Ariz., before moving to Topeka.
He attended Topeka Bible Church.
He married Elizabeth Baker on Aug. 10, 1985, at Edna. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Brianne Davis Powell and DeAngelo, and Lauren Davis and fiancee Chandler Passow, all of Topeka; a son, Avery Davis and fiance Becca Lamb, Washington, D.C.; a sister, Sue Ponce and husband Chris, Chanute; a brother, Rick Davis and wife Deb, Branson, Mo.; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services were held June 7 at Topeka Bible Church.
