Curtis Braum 1976-2017
Curtis Jay Braum, 40, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2017, at the Kansas Neurological Institute Medical Unit after a courageous fight with cancer. He was a resident at KNI beginning December of 1987.
Curtis was born June 17, 1976, in Atchison, the son of Sally Cook Braum and Dr. Roy Braum.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilbur and Anna Marie Braum and George and Florine Cook; an uncle, Elwin Carter; and a cousin, Mark Cook.
Curtis is survived by his parents; three aunts, Marilyn Carter, Joanne Braum and Nancy (Russell) Chapman; two uncles, Bob (Kathy) Cook and Jon (Solange) Cook; and several cousins.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 10 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 S.W. 10th Ave., Topeka. The family will greet friends for half an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Denison Cemetery, Denison.
