Mildred Ward 1926-2017
Mildred G. Ward, 90, Rossville, formerly of Wichita, died Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at the Rossville Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Sept. 13, 1926, the daughter of Louis and Katherine Pierson Kishko.
Ms. Ward worked as an administrative assistant for the State of Kansas Welfare Department for several years.
She married Steve Ward Jr. on Sept. 4, 1959, in Falls City, Neb. They divorced.
Survivors include 10 nieces and nephews; and a great-niece, Hope Niles. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather; two brothers, Wendell Kishko and Wayne Kishko; and a half-brother, Philip Niles.
Mass of Christian burial was held Monday morning at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church on the Potawatomi Reservation at Mayetta. Burial followed in Shipshee Cemetery. Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton is in charge of arrangements.
