Melvin Sinclair 1956-2017
Melvin Dwayne Sinclair, 60, Circleville, died Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Hiawatha Hospital E.R.
He was born Dec. 4, 1956, in Winchester, the son of David H. and Thelma Louise Donovan Sinclair. He graduated from ACCHS in 1975 and had attended vocational technical school in Atchison.
Mr. Sinclair and his wife owned and operated M&D Tree Shearing. He had worked for Collins Pipe in Holton for about 10 years, worked at Effingham Co-Op repairing farm tires and had also owned and operated The Cellar in Holton in the early 1990s. He also was a farmer.
He married Debra L. Hill on Oct. 14, 2000, in Soldier. She survives.
Other survivors include three stepchildren, Shawnna Long, in Kansas, Krystal “Krys” Bevan and husband Mike, Star Valley, Wyo., and Rickey Long and wife Kimberly, Humbolt, Neb.; a brother, Michael R. Sinclair and wife Charlotte, Oskaloosa; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 2 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in Holton Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
