Linda Esry 1947-2017
Linda J. Esry, 69, Holton, died Sunday, March 12, 2017, at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center in Topeka.
She was born Oct. 1, 1947, in Winfield, the daughter of Daniel and Adrienne Gray Hendricks. She graduated from Winfield High School in 1965 and received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Kansas State University.
Mrs. Esry spent most of her career as a speech-language pathologist for the Holton Special Education Cooperative, working primarily at Holton and Jackson Heights schools but also at various other schools in the area.
She married Leslie E. Esry on April 26, 1969, in Manhattan. He died Feb. 28, 2003.
Survivors include a son, Brett Esry and wife Hilary, Manhattan; her mother, Adrienne Hendricks, Holton; a daughter, Jade Winterwolf; a brother, Michael Kraus, Shell Knob, Mo.; and three grandchildren.
Cremation is planned. No services are scheduled.
