Katie Perkins 1993-2017
Katie Ruthanne Perkins, 23, Hoyt, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, north of Topeka, as a result of an automobile accident.
She was born Aug. 6, 1993, at Holton, the daughter of Phil and Davida Ross Perkins. She graduated from Valley Falls High School in 2012.
Katie was a devoted mother and homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Katie was a great bargain hunter and loved going to garage sales. She enjoyed life to the fullest.
Survivors include her companion, Casey Jones, and her children, Andrew David Jones, Caleb Mitchell Jones, Alexis Danielle Jones, and Austin Michael Jones, all of the home; her parents, Phil and Davida Perkins, Valley Falls; her father and mother in-law, Gerald and Marcia Jones, Hoyt; two brothers, Phillip Perkins, Valley Falls, and William Michael Perkins, Topeka; two sisters, Carrie Perkins, Valley Falls, and Courtney Perkins, Effingham; grandmother, Gaynell Hobbs, Iola; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 3 at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls. Burial will follow at the Valley Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
