Marvin Bairow 1941-2017
Marvin Dale Bairow, 75, Westmoreland, died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, at the Wamego Health Center.
He was born Oct. 3, 1941, in Westmoreland, the son of William and Viola Repp Bairow. He attended local schools and graduated in 1959 from Westmoreland High School.
Mr. Bairow was a farmer and stockman. He had also worked for the State of Kansas.
He married Mary Harrison on Sept. 24, 1966, in Onaga. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Lisa Baumgartner and husband Brian, Holton, and Tammy Alcantar and husband Jose, Topeka; six grandchildren, Cole Baumgartner, Westmoreland, Clay Baumgartner and Kalinn Baumgartner, both of Holton, and Marissa Alcantar, Raina Alcantar and Jaidyn Alcantar, all of Topeka; and two sisters-in-law, Donna Bairow, Holton, and Margaret Bairow, Westmoreland. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Wayne Bairow and Galen Bairow.
Private family graveside services will be held at Westmoreland City Cemetery.
