Tom Boley 1929-2016
Thomas G. Boley, 86, passed away Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, in Salina.
He was born Dec. 8, 1929, the son of John and Margaret (Eyer) Boley. He attended Holy Name Grade Schools and graduated from Washburn Rural High School in 1948.
Tom married Velma P. Scheid on July 24, 1981. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Salina and Knights of Columbus, having served as Grand Knight and as Faithful Navigator of 4th Degree Knights.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Velma; sister, Frances Hargis of Topeka; twin brother, Louis Boley of Salina; brother, Bernard J. Boley of Sand Springs, Okla.; nieces, nephews, and many friends.
A Celebration of Life reception will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 3 at Holiday Resort, Salina. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date. A mass will be said for Tom on Friday, Dec. 2 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Salina.
