Perry Ed Penfield 1934-2016

 

Perry Edward Penfield, 82, Yakima, Wash., formerly of Holton, died Sunday, July 31, 2016, at Cottage in the Meadow Hospice in Yakima.

He was born April 16, 1934, in Yakima, Wash., the son of Harley and Electa Penfield.

Mr. Penfield entered the U.S. Army in 1957. He and his wife moved in 1969 to Holton, where they ran the Fina truck stop. He would later return to Yakima, where he worked for Fred Meyer as a maintenance supervisor.

He married Judy Raper on April 16, 1957. They divorced. He mar­ried Cynthia Delomas in June of 1983. They divorced.

Survivors include five children, Diane, Linda, Colista, Michael and Danny Lee; a sister, Loretta; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchil­dren; and a great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; a sister; and a son-in-law, Jeff.

Celebration of life services will be held at noon Saturday, Aug. 27 at West Valley Church, 7109 W. Nob Hill Blvd., Yakima, Wash. A reception will follow at the church. Valley Hills Funeral Home of Yakima is in charge of arrange­ments.
