Linda Lister 1947-2016
Linda G. Lister, 69, Holton, died Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Medicalodges Jackson County.
She was born April 22, 1947, in Holton, the daughter of Galen and Betty Blue McClane. She graduated from Hoyt High School in 1966 and was a lifelong resident of Jackson County.
Ms. Lister was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Twins Club of Topeka and First Christian Church in Holton.
She married Gary Lister in 1971. They divorced.
Survivors include two sons, Rodney Lee Lister and wife Kim, Topeka, and Scott James Lister, Hoyt; a daughter, Tammy Rae Murphy and husband Matt, Hoyt; a brother, Thomas E. McClane, in Arizona; eight grandchildren, Jeremy Kasson, Richard Ensley, Dustin Ensley, Jessica Kutzke, Brooke Murphy, Clarissa Murphy, Jarrett Roy and Jaymie Lister; four great-grandchildren, Ethan Kasson, Reagan Ensley, Fletcher Ensley and Arralynn Murphy; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Dennis and Richard McClane; and a grandson, Mitchell Murphy.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Hoyt. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date in Holton Cemetery.
