Mary Ann Brazzle 1943-2016
Mary Ann Brazzle, 72, Onaga, died Saturday, April 16, 2016, at her son’s residence in Tuscola, Ill.
She was born July 10, 1943, in Wiggins, Miss., the daughter of William Travis and Annie Marilyn Madden Cooley. She attended Atwood-Hammond High School in Illinois.
Mrs. Brazzle had worked as a nurse’s aide for several years.
She attended First Baptist Church in Onaga.
She married Bobby Eugene Brazzle on Jan. 22, 1983, in Belvue. He died March 21, 2009. She also was preceded in death by her father, William Travis Cooley; her mother, Marilyn Jackson; and her stepfather, James Elmer Beatty.
Survivors include six children, Robin McConnell and husband Johnnie, Wetmore, Robert Stewart and wife Sherri and Shane Stewart, all of Tuscola, Ill., Paula Stewart, Appleton, Wisc., Trina Stewart, Tolono, Ill., and Brian Brazzle and wife Brenda, Virginia Beach, Va.; 20 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five brothers, Bill Beatty and wife Jacque, Tucson, Ariz., Rick Beatty and wife Diana, Netawaka, John Beatty and wife Bert, Belvue, Bruce Beatty and wife Darlene, Onaga, and Jimmy Beatty and wife Betty, Tucson, Ariz.; and a sister, Hope Bergstresser and husband Jim, Whiting.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton, where family will greet friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will be held in Olive Hill Cemetery.
