New turning lane installed

A construction crew from King's Construction of Oskaloosa on Friday directed and spread cement into what will be a right-turn lane from southbound U.S. Highway 75 in Holton to the Banner Road extension west of the highway where a new Walmart is currently being built. Brian King of King's Construction, which also recently completed the Banner Road extension, said work on the turn lane began earlier that week and was expected to be completed before the end of the year. The company will also be involved in the placement of a traffic signal at the intersection of U.S. 75 and Banner Road, it was reported.
