Ribbon-cutting ceremony held for new sign
A special ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on the southwest corner of the Jackson County Courtyard Monday to mark the completed construction of the new Holton sign. The new sign was built as a special project between Holton Main Street, which disbanded last year, and Jackson County. The Holton Main Street organization donated $22,000 toward the project, and the county allocated $13,335, for a total cost of $35,335. Shown above are (from left) Holton Main Street members Vickie Pruett, Brenda Adkins, Bob Carlson, former Holton Main Street director; Chad Phillips, head Courthouse custodian; Jana Lutz and Lynne Mulroy.
