Terri Gallup 1957-2026

Teresa “Terri” Ann Gallup was born on Nov. 29, 1957, in Holton to Paul Robert Moser and Ila Rose “Rosie” Jenkins. She passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, in Tulsa, Okla., at the age of 68.

Terri grew up in Holton, where she attended local schools and graduated with the Holton High School Class of 1976. She went on to Kansas State University, earning her bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering – an accomplishment that set the foundation for a long and respected career in the energy industry.

On Dec. 27, 1981, Terri married Andrew “Andy” Gallup in Holton. The couple made their home in Owasso, Okla., beginning in 1982. That same year, Terri began her professional journey as a transmission design engineer with Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO).

Over the decades, through PSO’s parent company Central and South West Corporation and later American Electric Power (AEP), she advanced through a variety of engineering and regulatory roles. Her work spanned system interconnections and contracts, generation planning and regulatory case management. Terri ultimately served as Director of Transmission Planning for AEP within the multi state Southwest Power Pool region, as well as Director of Case Management.

Terri was widely respected by colleagues within the industry. She represented PSO, CSW and AEP in numerous working groups and served as a company witness in regulatory proceedings before multiple state utility commissions. Her expertise, professionalism and steady leadership left a lasting impact on those she worked with. She retired from AEP in 2020.

Those who knew Terri will forever remember the warmth she carried so effortlessly. She had a wonderful, unmistakable laugh that could fill a room and a bright gleam in her eyes that revealed both her joy and her quick wit.

Terri was deeply sweet and caring, always attentive to the needs of others and she showed her love through countless acts of generosity and thoughtfulness. Her kindness left an imprint on everyone fortunate enough to share in her life.

Terri is survived by her husband, Andy, of the home; her son, Dustin Gallup, and his wife, Lindy, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and her brother, Gregg Moser, of Holton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosie and Paul Moser.
