Mary Lou Luker 1936-2026

Mary Lou Luker, 89, of Holton, died Sunday, July 5, 2026.

She was born Sept. 12, 1936, in Bronson, the daughter of Charlotte Opal Bray Smith and Artie Smith.

Mrs. Luker worked for Southwestern Bell and was a homemaker.

She married Kenneth Luker on May 8, 1955. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Charlotte Opal and Artie Smith; two brothers, William Smith and Richard Smith; a sister, Wanda Larson; and a granddaughter, Alicia Marie Priest.

Survivors include her children, Tracy Luker and wife Beth, Sandra Luker and Kathy Brady-Maxwell and husband Paul; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many other extended family members.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 10 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Inurnment will take place in Holton Cemetery at a later date.
