Graduations, last days of school announced

The school year is coming to a close for students in Jackson County and surrounding districts, as most high schools prepare to host their graduations this weekend.

Royal Valley High School held its commencement exercises on Sunday, and the last day of classes for students in the district is this Friday. Classes are set to dismiss at 11 a.m. that day.

Holton High School has set its graduation for 6 p.m. Saturday, May 16. The last day of classes for students is Thursday, May 21.

At 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 30 Jackson Heights High School seniors will graduate in the JHHS gym. Remaining students will be dismissed for the summer at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 21.

Wetmore High School’s Class of 2015 will graduate at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 16. The last day of class for all students in Prairie Hills USD 113 will be Thursday, May 21.

Atchison County Community High School’s senior class will graduate at 4 .m. on Saturday, May 16. Students will be dismissed for the summer on Tuesday, May 19.
