Second Saturday event planned for this weekend

Several businesses in downtown Holton will be open late for last-minute Valentine’s Day shopping during this weekend’s Second Saturday event. 

Some businesses around the Square will be offering gift specials that evening, as well as food and drink samples. 

In addition, a scavenger hunt will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. where participants will be eligible for prizes by visiting all of the 13 designated businesses on or around the Square.

Those participating in the scavenger hunt will receive a “passport” for business owners to sign or stamp. Each full “passport” will be entered into a drawing for $25 in Chamber bucks. 

Shops included on the scavenger hunt are Heart to Home, Quilting on the Square, expressions, More Than Lemons, Uptown Treasures, The Gossip, Hunny Mae Kids, The Golden Fleece, Koger Variety, Pennys, JM Sewing Center, Jhett’s Pizza and 5th Street Sandwich Shoppe. 

Second Saturday events are sponsored by the Holton/Jackson County Chamber of Commerce.
