"Remember When?" theme of upcoming Second Saturday
This month’s Second Saturday event is a blast from the past with memorabilia, music, games and refreshments planned for this Saturday, May 14, around Holton’s Town Square.
“Remember When?” is the theme for Saturday’s event with several shops on and around the Square set to stay open late.
Second Saturday is planned for 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. that day with refreshments served from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Those attending Second Saturday can also win prizes by playing an online mobile scavenger hunt while strolling the town Square. The winner of the scavenger hunt will receive a $30 gift certificate to More Than Lemons for a unique “blow your own glass” experience.
The mobile scavenger hunt is conducted through the mobile app “Eventzee.”
A passport game is also being held that day, and participants are encouraged to get a stamp at each of the participating stores in order for a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to Quilting On The Square.
Featured shops during this weekend’s Second Saturday event include expressions, JM Sewing Center, The Hot Spot, Jhett's Pizza, Heart To Home, Koger Variety, More than Lemons, Penny's, Quilting on the Square, The Golden Fleece, 5th Street Sandwich Shop, Hunny Mae Kids, Uptown Treasures/Desperado’s and The Gossip, it was reported.
