Law enforcement still looking for parole absconder
The Jackson County Sheriff's Office continues to search for a 25-year-old man wanted on an outstanding warrant from Wyandotte County, it has been reported.
Danny Ross Adams was last seen near 142nd and T Road in Jackson County after he fled on foot from a Jackson County Sheriff's Deputy, according to Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse.
According to the Kansas Department of Corrections, Adams was convicted of burglary in 2012 in Wyandotte County. He is an absconder, which means he is no longer in contact with his parole or probation officer.
Sheriff Morse alerted the public shortly after 9:30 a.m. on Saturday that the sheriff's office was attempting to locate Adams, who was last seen heading southeast on foot.
Adams is described as having dark brown hair and red facial hair, including a goatee, glasses and was last seen wearing black pants, a black ball cap and a red shirt tied around his waist. He also has several tattoos. He is six-foot tall and weighs 190 pounds.
Morse reported that two major searches were conducted Saturday in dense heavily wooded areas after Adams was sighted, but he fled again and was not captured.
On Sunday, Morse reported that Adams was suspected to be enroute to or in the Meriden, Topeka or Denison areas.
While Adams remains at large, Morse advises residents to keep their doors locked and their keys out of their vehicles.
There has been no indication that Adams is dangerous, however, if sighted do not approach and contact law enforcement immediately, Morse said.
