July Jubilee is Friday

Heavy rains over the Fourth of July holiday weekend prompted the rescheduling of this year’s Holton/Jackson County Chamber of Commerce July Jubilee to Friday, it has been reported.

July Jubilee — the annual Independence Day fireworks display and activities at Banner Creek Reservoir — has been rescheduled for 10 p.m. this Friday. The fireworks display will be provided by 2 Kirks Fireworks, it was reported.

Other activities that have been rescheduled for Friday include a Jackson County Community Band concert that was also part of last Saturday’s planned activities. The concert will begin at 8 p.m. on the reservoir grounds, it was reported.

Also, a pre-fireworks event from 8:15 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church parking lot at 401 Cheyenne Drive. Refreshments will be served for a free-will donation to support the church’s Vacation Bible School program.
