County's schools preparing for Christmas break

This is the final week of classes before Christmas Break for many students in Jackson County as they close out the 2015 school year and prepare for 2016.

Holton schools will dismiss for the winter break after a full day of classes on Friday, Dec. 18. All Holton students will resume classes Monday, Jan. 4.

All students at Jackson Heights will be dismissed after a full day of classes on Friday and will also return on Jan. 4.

At Royal Valley, high school students will be dismissed at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, for the holiday break, with middle and elementary students being dismissed at the end of the regular school that day. All RV students will return to class Tuesday, Jan. 5.

Wetmore and other USD 113 students will be dismissed for Christmas break at the end of a full day of classes on Thursday, Dec. 17. Classes will resume on Jan. 4.

Last week (Dec. 7 – 11) was finals week at Highland Community College Holton campus with winter break to follow. Registration for the spring semester at HCC’s Holton site is 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13. Classes resume Jan. 19.
