Chamber director McLeod resigns position

Holton/Jackson County Chamber of Commerce director Elise McLeod has resigned her position after three months on the job, it was reported.

McLeod submitted her resignation to the Chamber board of directors, which accepted the resignation on Monday, Cham­ber board president Jennifer Shaw said.

According to Shaw, McLeod “determined that her skill set was not well-suited to the position.”

McLeod had taken over the po­sition from previous director Carolyn McKee on Nov. 30, it was reported.

Shaw said the duties of the Chamber director will be per­formed by Chamber office staff and board members until a new director is hired.
