Community Band adds patriotic touch to July Jubilee

Former Jackson Heights band teacher Laura Holliday (at left) led the Jackson County Community Band through a performance of “March On, America,” a medley of patriotic marches that was one of eight patriotic pieces played by the band to kick off the annual Holton/Jackson County Chamber of Commerce July Jubilee, held Saturday, July 2 at Banner Creek Reservoir. Holliday was joined in leading the band by Holton High School band teacher Jayme Malsom.
